RAILROAD FACTS presents a summary of railroad operations through 1982 for the United States and three geographic regions. The Association of American Railroads has published RAILROAD FACTS in every year since 1965.
This year's edition excludes Railroad Taxes by States (page 17 in previous editions), which the railroads are no longer required to report. Users of RAILROAD FACTS should note that all tables beginning with page 17 have been renumbered.
