The 1969 Yearbook of RAILROAD FACTS presents a summary of railroad operations in 1968 and prior years for the United States as a whole and for the three principal districts to which railroads are assigned for statistical purposes. These groupings are identified as the Eastern District (which includes the Pocahontas Region), the Southern District (formerly identified as the Southern Region), and the Western District.
