Warbonnet 2024 1st Quarter Santa Fe Railway Historical & Modelling Society
Warbonnet 2024 1st Quarter Santa Fe Railway Historical & Modelling Society
The Warbonnet is published quarterly. Vol 30 #1. On the cover: Santa Fe Extra 1422 East picks up orders at Summit, California, from Operator Chard Walker on a winter day in December 1965. This is probably the CTX (California Texas Extra). Trailing GP35 1422 are three more GP35s running "elephant style", 1367, 1315, and one more (134?). All of this would be history in just a few short years as Santa Fe completed the Summit line change in 1972. Gordon Glattenberg photo
