PREFACE
In presenting "Vintage Tractors in Camera" this is a new approach, as all the illustrations have been taken at rallies over the past four years.
As one of those who has seen the tractor preservation movement grow, and can say that I was one of the first to rally tractors at steam events, it is very pleasing to be able to show the diverse selection of machines in the following pages.
How nice it would have been to have all the illustrations in colour, but the cost of production would have been far too great in this specialised market - I have made up for the loss of colour in trying to provide as interesting a set of captions as has been possible to provide.
I must finally thank all those who have actually rallied the tractors to enable me to point my camera at them and also give pleasure, of the nostalgic variety, to all those who pass through the turnstiles into events up an
