INTRODUCTION
Trolleys in the Coast Cities is the second in a series of books on the streetcar system of the Jersey Shore. The first book, Trolleys Across the Sand Dunes covered Ocean County's Point Pleasant Traction and the Trenton, Lakewood and Seacoast Railway. This volume covers southern Monmouth County's Coast Cities Railway and its predecessors and covers the area from Manasquan north to Long Branch.
The next volume will cover Monmouth County's Monmouth County Electric and the Jersey Central Traction whose area ran from Long Branch to Perth Amboy. Readers who have pictures, artifax and information about these lines would greatly help the author by contacting him.
The author will send an errata and addenda list of Trolleys in the Coast Cities to anyone sending him a #10 self-addressed stamped envelope. This list will be sent in 1980. If the reader has any additional or corrected information the author will include it in the list.
All pictures are of the actual item. There may be reflection from the lights in some photos. We try to take photos of any damage.
