INTRODUCTION
Trolley Cars Across America is a visual trip into the past, arranged by states, which looks at a nearly extinct form of transportation. The following photos were taken directly from original prints, which are glued into large albums. The captions are those that were placed upon the photos at the time they were taken, and are quite basic. However, several traction experts have viewed the photos, and due to the rarity of some, could add no more information. Other, more popular lines and states have had entire books written about them. Therefore, what we offer is a photo essay of the way many people once traveled in America. We intend to offer similar books that deal with the individual states of Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, New York, Pennsylvania and Ohio.
All pictures are of the actual item. There may be reflection from the lights in some photos. We try to take photos of any damage.
