On the other hand, those volumes that feature the bare \"handbook\" type of practical approach are also inadequate, because that approach does not permit the individual to evaluate comparative aspects nor does it give him any basis for developing concepts of his own, without which development all progress eventually ceases. Though admittedly the main objective of this volume is to develop managerial ability on the higher levels, it would not wholly and best serve it purpose as a training aid to industrial proficiency if itdid not also provide for the accomplishment of a reasonably high degree of practical application.
