This self-guided tour book was prepared to help all those interested in the narrow gauge of the Sheepscot River Valley better understand its location from Wiscasset to Albion.
The Week's Mills to Winslow branch has not been included at this time, but may be added later.
To help with the use of these tours, here is some information.
There are two sets of mileage on the tours. One is for the ailroad and is marked (RR). The other is road mileage. All the 'road mileages listed START at the Museum. To get a comparison of the road mileages to the (RR) mileage you must add 4.7 miles to ake up the difference from Wiscasset to the Museum. (Example: Cooper's Mills (RR) mileage is 20.4 miles, road mileage from Wiscasset is 17.1 miles from Museum plus 4.7 miles for 21.8 road miles from Wiscasset).
The road mileages do not include the mileage from the main routes ( RT 218, RT 32, etc.) to the sites. These mileages were added to help you locate the sites.

Some of the track diagrams were done by Linwood Moody and are from the Allan Socea collection included in Two-Foot to Tidewater by Jones and Register. The other diagrams were done by Jim Bergmann, Curator for the WW&F Railway Museum.
All pictures are of the actual item. There may be reflection from the lights in some photos. We try to take photos of any damage.
