The Toledo, Port Clinton & Lakeside Railway-
This new electric railway operates over 52 miles of track between Toledo and Marblehead, Ohio, and serves the fine fruit-growing territory on the Marblehead Peninsula. The company expects to handle large quantities of produce besides securing considerable pleasure traffic to and from some local hunting grounds on adjacent islands. The equipment possesses especial interest as a new type of motor is used.
The Lighting System and Overhead Construction in the Philadelphia Subway
Provision is made for lighting the Philadelphia Subway and passenger stations from two sources of supply. Diagrams are given of the connections and of the novel overhead trolley construction used.

The author presents a diagram by which the average cost of generating power in different size stations and under different conditions can be obtained, and he explains the method by which this diagram was prepared.

The Ocean Shore Railway-------
This railway will be a double-track electric line between San Francisco and Santa Cruz, Cal. The main division will be 81 miles long and, as its name implies, will follow the coast for practically the whole distance.
Traction Merger in New York----
An account is published of the consolidation of the Metropolitan and Interborough systems in New York City, by which all of the surface, elevated and underground railways in the Boroughs of Manhattan and Bronx will be brought under one management.
