The Leith Corporation Tramways
A description is given of the Leith tramway system, adjoining Edinburgh, which has just been converted from horse to electric traction. A particularly interesting feature in connection with this line is the railway bridge which crosses the inner harbor This bridge is so arranged that its tilting before being swung operates the proper derailing switches and signals.
Meeting of the Ohio Interurban Railway Association
The last meeting of this association at Youngstown, Ohio, was devoted principally to discussions on types of interline tickets, the use of steel-tired wheels, the proper employment of recording and other instruments, charges for cars on foreign roads and reasonable tender for fares.
Meeting of the New England Street Railway Club -
The principal feature of this meeting was a paper by W. S. Bartholomew upon air brakes for electric cars.
