This superb pointwork has all metal 100% nickel silver rail throughout in its construction, dispensing with plastic frogs and plastic wing rails, and ensuring continuity of flow of current throughout the passage of the loco over the frog assembly-in other words \"Live Frogs\" which will enable locos to be driven at scale crawl speeds over the points without hesitation or faltering-and all this without using die-cast parts, and without being dependant on blade contact to the stock rails, which has been the drawback to this system in the past. Our \"back room boys\" have designed special hidden away switch gear to ensure 100% live frogs, quite independent of blade contact, which cannot be damaged accidentally as the track is cleaned, or by heavy handling in fitting the point in position. As with all FORMOWAY pointwork, LIVEWAY has all its internal connections made with spot welded nickel silver strip.
