Wootton, CO is on the Santa Fe's Raton Pass line at milepost 651.6. In 1909, the Santa Fe erected a 12 foot by 21 foot freight house to handle freight traffic connected with the Wootton mine. Several years ago Jared Harper built a model of this structure as it might have appeared in November, 1947. It is entirely scratchbuilt from Northeastern lumber and is painted Colonial Yellow with Bronze Green trim. The roof is red shingle.
