Another Rio Grande Southern book? A friend of mine questioned the saneness to produce another Colorado railroad story! The answer is yes, if you have the photographic and written information you should! The popularity of the Rio Grande Southern is well documented by the number of books and information already published and purchased. The appetite of the buffs who seem to demand more is still out there, and hopefully purchasing to meet their interests! I have always considered the RGS my favorite railroad and have collected photographs, newspaper articles and all information available to appease that desire for more knowledge about the little railroad. Someone in early times dubbed it the "Rio Grande Impossible". I guess that's the kind of thing I get turned on to. This book gives me a chance to publish more of the images I have collected. It also gives me a chance to further investigate the 172 miles of railroad and to gather more photo images and data. The narrow gauge rundown railroads are fascinating subjects. This one traversed thru beautiful topography and full-filled a need in a remote area.
