Rails South is published bi-monthly. OUR COVER: One good reason to photograph anything that moves on the L A N is, you never know what number it will be wearing next. L & N SD35, #1281 was built in 1964 as ACL #1007, became SCL #1907, then [briefly] L & N #7027, then L & N #1281. The SD35's are slated to be renumbered again on the L & N and who knows where it will stop?
