As with any new publication of this type, it is important to set down early its concerned territory. RAILS SOUTH will cover news generally within the states of Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, Kentucky, southern Missouri, Arkansas, Louisiana, eastern Texas, Oklahoma, and southeast Kansas.
Railroading in this part of the country has for too long been neglected by railfan publications. The readership is encouraged to contribute news, photos, and articles on railroading in the South.
Already in progress are articles on Arkansas shortlines, depots on a portion of the Frisco, and the KCS in Heavener.
All pictures are of the actual item. If this is a railroad item, this material is obsolete and no longer in use by the railroad. Please email with questions.
