The Indian and Western prints claim many more collectors and the value of these prints has been rising steadily in recent years. He lived and worked in a stirring age: the Great West was being opened up to the Pioneer settlers; the Railroads were pushing Eastward and Westward to complete the line from coast to coast; political competition and strife was the order of the day; and the Civil War was a tragedy which left but few of our citizens untouched.
