CP Rail's Sherbrooke Sub
Railroad Explorer takes an in-depth look at CP Rail's famed Sherbrooke Subdivision in the Eastern Townships of Quebec. Great scenery and lots of Action Red MLWs have made the Sherbrooke a favorite destination of railfans over the years. After CP's exit in late 1994 came Iron Road's Bangor & Aroostook System, with its attractively-painted GP38's. Today, the Sherbrooke is part of the Montreal, Maine & Atlantic, and big GE C30-7s now roam the rails. The power may be different, but the drama is the same.

Remembering the Bull Moose
The Belfast & Mooshead Lake. Photographer Tim Franz displays his collection of colorful Kodachromes of this bucolic Maine shortline. GE 70 tonners, chicken feed and scenic vistas set the stage for some enjoyable northern New England railroading.

Autumn in the Empire State
New England's not the only place with great fall foliage. Explorer takes an extended look at some splendid fall color from the great State of New York.
