The biennial term has marked the completion of the Rutland electric street railway to Fairhaven ; the Lake Bomoseen branch of the same road ; and the building of eleven miles of double track on the Vermont Valley road from Bellows Falls to Putney. This latter work is being continued the present season and will be completed to Putney before December 1st, 1904. The line is also being straightened, reverse curves taken out and two crossings abolished, one an over-head crossing and the other an underpass. It has been built in the most substantial manner. The year 1902 witnessed the completion of the Manchester, Dorset and Granville railroad from Manchester, where it connects with the Rutland system, to the marble quarries in Dorset, a distance of five miles. The Hinesburg railroad is in the same condition as reported two years ago.
