Approximately ten Class 86 locomotives are to receive Network SouthEast livery for the services from Euston-Northampton (864XX) and from Liverpool Street-Cambridge (862XX). No. 86401 is the first of the class so treated and stands gleaming ex Works at Crewe on December 22. BR's Design Panel is soon to modify the livery on this Class of locomotive, the front end never having gained full approval with several variations to date being tried.
