Following in the footsteps of Rail Canada Volume One this work continues the graphic presentation of diesel locomotive paint schemes and complimentary colour and black & white photos. A large block of diesels are operated across Canada by a number of smaller class one, class two and private carrier railways.
From the rather humble beginnings of pre-volume One in 1974, Rail Canada has evolved into a widely acclaimed guide to diesel paint schemes. Intended as a handbook for both modelers and train watchers, the mail received to date indicates that the author was successful on both counts.
Much of the artwork for roadnames and numerals was either provided by Beaver Decalcomania or will become the basis for new decal sets by them, and C-D-S lettering for the lettering used on the Northern Alberta Railway drawings and which will be available quite soon in dry transfer form.
