Architect Theodore C. Link's inspiration fo this 1894 Romanesque style edifice was a castle in Carcossonne, France. In the 1920's and during World War 11 it daily served 143 trains as 100,000 persons thronged its Midway. Beautifully restored it contains an Omni international hotel, resteraunts, shops and a boating lake.
