Just a week out of the paint shop, Erie Lackawanna SDP45 returns to the scene at Hornell, N.Y. October 28, 1975. The 3600 HP unit is one of two similar freight locomotives to sport the patriotic red, white and blue color scheme. Also scheduled for the bicentennial treatment is one of the General Electric 3350 series commuter locomotives. A matching caboose, No. C354, is generally used with the freight locomotives on Chicago - New York Piggyback Trains.
