This book is based on the collection of black and white negatives owned by Robert A. Liljestrand plus many prints loaned from Chuck Blardone and Charles Horan. Text and captions were written by David R. Sweetland. This hook does not cover all classes of steel diners, but is a sampling of the various types of equipment.
A special thanks to Charles Blardone, Jr., of the Pennsylvania Railroad Technical & Historical Society for furnishing many photographs, providing technical information, scanning all the prints and negatives and developing the PRR dining car roster on page 48, and to Janet S. Watson for word processing the text.
