INTRODUCTION
The outline history and the accompanying map of Central Florida's railroads was conceived as a method of providing a single source of basic historical data to anyone from the curious inquirer to the serious history buff, covering everything from a single rail line to the entire Central Florida region. Hopefully it will give a quick understanding of where the railroads began in Central Florida and how they expanded to provide for the transportation needs of the region for well over 125 years.
