Paul Lally models the Youngstown & Southern Railway, a small interurban line in northeastern Ohio that at one time in its brief but notable history took on three major carriers in vying for the right to haul coal for use in area steel mills. It was a sort of David vs. Goliath story that intrigued Paul and inspired him to model the Y&S in 2-rail O scale as it would have been in the 1950s. Paul took this photo of one of the line's three locomotives crossing Beaver Creek in southern Columbiana County.
