North Western Lines C&NW is issued quarterly, Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall by the Chicago & North Western Historical Society. COVER: The Society's 1992 Annual Meeting will be at DeKalb, where this classic depot building is still in use by the C&NW The information on the photo states it was taken at 4:45 pm on May 27, 1911- The train arriving is then 49, an afternoon local from Chicago which terminated at DeKalb. The station was built in 1891- lust atter the double track on the Galena Division was completed through the city. The last regular passenger train used it April 30. 1971 From a photo postcard by C R.
