This listing of Norfolk Southern locomotives is current as of January 1, 2007, and shows an NS motive power fleet of 3,769 locomotives and 77 slugs, a increase of 157 units from the December 31, 2005, totals. Currently, there are 75 units on order for 2007 delivery - 13 GP38-2 rebuilds, 9 GP38-3 rebuilts, and 53 new GE ES40DC units.
