Norfolk and Western Magazine is published every six weeks at Roanoke Va.
The cover, Jim Gibson, art director at Stone Printing, designed the montage which shows KD-12 and a few of the industries we serve along our Fort Wayne Division. Industry and farms form a checkerboard of design across the northern Indiana prairie, with our railroad cutting a nice swath through the middle of it. The heaviest concentration is on Trainmaster Ned Calvin's Detroit District between Montpelier, Ohio and Hand, Michigan at the edge of the Detroit Terminal.Oliver
H. Crawford, manager photo- graphic services, PR&Adv. Dept., made the photographs for The Fort Wayne Division article, which begins on page 214, and for the cover.
KD-12 was moving east from Peru, and Mr. Crawford made the photograph near Roanoke Siding in Indiana.
