New England States Limited NERS 1978-1979 Winter The Disaster at Baker Bridge
New England States Limited 1978-79 Winter Norwich & Worcester Railroad
Published Quarterly. Front Cover: When most people think of Connecticut they picture a relatively highly populated area with an industrial base. This does not hold true in eastern Connecticut, however, where the industries are smaller and are situated primarily in the larger towns. The balance of the region is still quite rural, wooded and a-agrarian in nature. Thus, the New Haven's first R.D.C., #20, is seen on our cover as she rounds a curve along the wooded shores of the Quinebaug River with an east-ern Connecticut farm in the distance. It is a sunny September 3, 1952 and #20 is nearing the Taft Ville Tunnel on its late afternoon run from Worcester to Groton. Henry S. Libby Photo
