This is the first of a planned series of books on passenger operations of Canadian National Railways. Text for this first volume is a brief history of railway passenger services of the CNR and the predecessor railways folded into the national system. Future volumes will carry detailed looks at as many facets of the CN passenger operation as possible, including rolling stock, train consists, motive power, timetables and graphics such as maps and plans. It is hoped the series will be considered the definitive look at the subject.
