Published Quarterly. Front cover upper: What is thought to be the opening of the Scropton Tramway in 1889. Here is the original Bagnall (WB 1050/1889), posing on the bridge over the River Dove with a train of what appear to be much earlier four wheel mine wagons. One presumes those dignified folk on the right, well away from the 'Workers', are Staton's and Newton's!

By this date the more modern steel side tipping wagons were in regular use. S&N stands for Sta ton & Newton, although this was never the 'official' name under which the Company traded.
