INTRODUCTION
This is the third and final book featuring the work of Bruce and Arch Kantner. Anthracite Country Color, the first title is an unqualified success and has received awards from the printing industry for its overall production excellence. Memories of the Reading's Shamokin Division is but a few months old and already has seen similar success. The photography, quality and price have combined to make this series highly desirable to both modelers and railfans. It has even broken difficult ground in that it has been received by the non-railfan community. That includes ex-employees as well as people living in northeast Pennsylvania who have opened the pages and found a fond look back at a distant memory.
Already other similar titles are being prepared, but the call will certainly go out to anyone who would like to see their photographic efforts in print. The only effort needed on your part is to pick up a phone or put a postage stamp on a letter. We would be glad to hear from you!
PS.. Don't think your once mundane shots are uninteresting. That car, milk truck or store in the background may bring back another desirable view of a forgotten past.
