The only dark cloud was prohibition; but who really cared, for a couple of knocks on a known door brought you into one of the many speak-easys dotting Los Angeles. No, the man you saw hanging out of the building downtown was not going to commit suicide, it was the young comedian, Harold Lloyd, filming another of his famous motion pictures.
