INTRODUCTION
This is Volume Two of a three volume series on the facilities in use on the Lehigh Valley Railroad.
It's been 31 years since the Lehigh Valley Railroad passed into history. Fortunately, many of the bridges and interlockings remain in use by NS on the Eastern half of the old Lehigh Valley. The unfortunate part is that the buildings and facilities are fast disappearing on the upper part of the railroad.
There is a whole generation of fans born after the Lehigh Valley Railroad faded away, yet a renewed interest in the railroad has developed. But what really ingrained those buildings into our fondest memories were the people who manned the towers, the station agents, the men who worked in the yard offices and crew rooms. This is what made the LVRR attractive to our generation. I did my best to include these fine people in this book.
