The Last Days of the Old Corris forms a somewhat unexpected sequel to Geat Western Corris, first published in 1994. At that time, very little further material on the line was believed to exist but, since then, a wealth of new information has come to light, including over 50 photographs. It is all presented here as a souvenir of the final throes of the old company.
The life of this once busy line was brought to an abrupt end on the morning of 23rd August, 1948, when the river Dyfi washed away part of the embankment. Some of the photographs taken by H.C. Casserley and his son, who were among the first to hear the sad news, are included in this photographic tribute.
