On the other hand, the 100th jubilee of Krauss-Maffei was celebrated in 1937. It is an indisputable fact that the purchase agreement for the \"Lindauer'sche Hammer\" was dated March 20, 1838. 1837 was the founding year of the Munich-Augsburg Railway. It is probable that Maffei was already then making plans to build locomotives and had started negotiations with the Widow Lindauer, although the sale was only finalized in 1838.
