This book sets out to record the history of this very beautiful Great Western Devon branch line.
It also shows the development of road and river traffic in the area and the way this complemented the railway. The network of railways planned for the South Hams area is also shown which would have made Kingsbridge a major centre.
Contents also include many unpublished photographs, maps, diagrams and personal accounts from the men and women who worked the Kingsbridge Branch.
