THIS volume contains the twelve papers read at the Vienna Meeting of the Iron and Steel Institute, with the discussion and ccrrespondence on those papers, together with a short description of the Bian gas-cleaner held over from the previous meeting. It also contains a summary of the comments of members of the Institute on a report issued by a Committee appointed by the International Association for Testing Materials for establishing uniform nomenclature for iron and steel.
The volume also contains a report of the proceedings of the Vienna Meeting, and an illustrated account of the excursions and entertainments connected with that meeting.
Obituary notices of deceased members, library reports, and the usual record of progress of the home and foreign iron and steel. industries during the second half of 1907, occupy the remaining portion of the volume.
