About the Book
Times change, new developments take place, and revisions become necessary to any publication which claims to be an authoritative source of information on any subject. Even though the title seems to indicate little possibility of correction, HISTORIC BRIDGES OF PENNSYLVANIA does contain a chapter on 20th Century Bridges. Major bridges in this century are still being built, and I have attempted to cover them briefly, via photographs and information made available to me by the knowledgeable individuals listed on page 68. Also, additional excellent illustrations of historic bridges in this State have been called to my attention by my contemporaries, many of which are shown in the pages which follow.
