Classic Car is published monthly. On the cover, Photographer Todd Ryden spent an afternoon with this 1929 Ford Model A. The roadster, known as the "Pyle Special," was turned into a hot rod in Southern California in the late-Thirties and raced on California's dry lakes and fledgling drag strips in the Forties. Put away in the early Fifties, it was preserved until 2007 and has since been revived to its 1947 appearance using original parts.
