Unfortunately, in the seperation of the power and transit facilities o large amount of data was destroyed as it had no current value. No comprehensive study of the company had ever been compiled and no complete history has ever been written. Foremost of these is Mr. Donald H. Walker, President of the progressive Fort Wayne Transit, Inc., who originally proposed the gathering together of all the facts of the firm's history. Herb Harnish aided in gathering details and is responsible for ninety percent of the photographic reproductions. Many of these were rescued from badly faded prints. Mr. E. A. Luhmon and the Indiana \u0026amp; Michigan Electric Company generously loaned old records and furnished statistics. The Fort Wayne Public Library staff was most helpful and patient in the use of newspaper micro-films. Mr. Roy M.
