In organizing this book, I followed the layout of the final DME/ICE employee timetable, dated May 19, 2008. According to that ETT, the railroad is divided into 21 subdivisions (see map), numbered generally from west to east and north to south. Thus, as the timetable indicates, we begin our journey in windblown Colony, Wyoming, on the Black Hills Sub and finish in Kansas City, Missouri, on the Kansas City Sub. Along the way we will see images taken in Wyoming, South Dakota, Nebraska, Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois and Missouri. Photos are placed positioned chronologically in timetable order across each subdivision. If there is more than one photo taken in a particular location, the oldest will appear first followed by those bearing later dates.
All pictures are of the actual item. There may be reflection from the lights in some photos. We try to take photos of any damage.
