18 Union Pacific GE U50Cs - Part 2
In Part 2 of Union Pacific's U5OC coverage, we take a look at road numbers 5020-5039. This locomotive design proved to be GE's final attempt to produce a double-engine mainline locomotive. After a very brief career - by railroad standards - they were scrapped.
32 Jersey Central SD4Os
Not wishing to disrupt its traffic flow to the New York City area, Chesapeake & Ohio, through its Baltimore & Ohio subsidiary, stepped in to ensure viable rail service on its Jersey Central holdings. This came in the form of a series of locomotive leases
and sales. The first of these was the use of nine then-recently delivered B&O EMD SD40s.

From the camera of Don Christensen, we take a look at the variety of C&NW diesels that visited Clinton, Iowa, between 1955 and 1967. From Baldwin VO660s to EMD SD45s, they all made calls to this important division point on the west bank of the Mississippi River.
