ABOUT THE BOOK
Gladys Bueler has been a Colorado resident since 1946. Her interest in Colorado history took tangible form when she developed and coordinated a "crash course" in the Centennial State's history for the Division of Continuing Education of the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs.
In this book, Mrs. Bueler presents a quick introduction to 83 of the people who had impact on Colorado's colorful history. Practically every other person whose name one will read in books or hear about in travels over the state, is mentioned in the comprehensive Chronology, each set in his own time and place. Since the book takes a geographical approach, travelers can use it as an adjunct to maps and, by referring to the Table of Contents, quickly evoke "the ghosts that haunt the ghost towns."
