INTRODUCTION
The Cir-Kit "concept" of electrical interconnection provides a revolutionary new innovation within the model R/R industry and represents a significant technological breakthrough in track wiring. For the first time ever, a means has been devised which will allow anyone to successfully construct a versatile and easily hidden electrical system.
The heart of the Cir-Kit Concepts wiring system lies in the use of a flat, pressure-sensitive and adhesively-backed conductive tape. The thinness of the mylar tape (less than .005 in.) makes it an ideal medium for model R/R wiring installations. The flat copper foils imbedded within the tape, in addition to a low profile, also exhibit considerably higher heat-dissipation qualities than equivalent size wires. This feature allows a greater range of safety for the heavier currents encountered in large model R/R layouts. The transparent mylar tape is specially treated to accept and retain a wide variety of applied paints. Unlike other transparent tapes, the absorbent surface of this tape allows a coating of paint to rigidly adhere to the tape, thereby eliminating potential peeling and flaking problems. The thickness of the adhesive tape is equivalent to approximately one average coat of paint, permitting two coats to completely hide the press-down tape installation.
