FOREWORD
Cincinnati's cable cars and earliest electrics were not well recorded by railfan standards. Rosters have not been itemized due to incomplete data. In the matter of colors, whereas horsecar lines were known by their colors, --the blue line, the red line, etc. --the cable lines were usually referred to by their locations. No records uncovered indicated their colors. Luckily, several eye-witnesses were available and the only line about which they did not concur was the Mt. Auburn cable whose cars were said to be green or gray. Since railways often did change their paint schemes, both could be correct. In this light it should be noted that these are latter day color identifications and might or might not apply to the entire era of cable cars.
