This handbook has been compiled as an aid to the engineer in the operation of EMD high horsepower locomotives. It covers the location and operation of the cab controls and air brake equipment. It also explains those locomotive devices and systems with which the engineer should be most familiar.
The GP30, GP35, GP38, GP40, SD35 and SD40 locomotives, including the 26-L air brake equipment, are covered in this book.
