The intent of this series is to present, as completely as possible, an illustration of car differences and the paint schemes Canadian National used on their rolling stock. The format of large size pictures is primarily intended for the modeller to act as a comprehensive guide, illustrating different body styles within the same class, paint, lettering, various details and weathering effects. Following a logical progression, our subjects are presented by build or acquisition date, then by rebuilding and paint scheme change. The nomenclature, describing various car features, is from the modelling fraternity and popularly used in the model railroad press.
