Welcome to Canadian Pacific in Color Volume II: Western Lines. This volume continues the illustrated story of the Canadian Pacific Railway's operations from 1949 through 1968, a colorful period marked by the transition from steam to diesel motive power, concluding with the retirement of the tuscan and grey corporate image. The 1,892 miles from Fort William to Vancouver were the umbilical cord of the Company's western operations collectively known prior to 1960 as the Western Lines.
