This book is presented as essentially an album of photographs of a small sample of the rolling stock of the Canadian Pacific Railway in use between the 1950's and the 1990s. The era of color photography necessarily limits the coverage to the post-World War II period. The intent is to show common rolling stock of the CPR rather than special and unusual cars. There is no effort to include every class of car nor to present an organized history of rolling stock development. Many car types are not shown. Each photo shows a single example from a series of cars. In most cases there were many other series of similar cars. The color views in this book generally date from the 1950's to 1998 however in most cases the subject cars were built much earlier.
All pictures are of the actual item. There may be reflection from the lights in some photos. We try to take photos of any damage.
